Stop the heat leaving first.

Loft, cavity, solid wall and ventilation, designed together and installed by our own people across Chertsey and Surrey.

The cheapest thing you can doLoft and cavity walls cost the least and pay back the fastest, which is why every survey starts there.
0% VAT until March 2027Every measure is zero-rated, and funded in full under ECO4 or Warm Homes: Local Grant for households that qualify.
PAS 2035 and PAS 2030The standard funded schemes require, and the one that keeps walls dry.

Do it in the wrong order and you pay twice

Insulation is not a shopping list. Each measure changes what the next one needs.

An installer fixing insulation boards to an external wall
  1. Fabric before plant

A heat pump sized for an uninsulated house is a bigger, more expensive heat pump running harder for the rest of its life.

  2. Walls before windows

Windows are usually the smallest heat loss and the biggest bill. Doing them first feels like progress and moves the least.

  3. Ventilation with, not after

Every measure that tightens the house makes ventilation matter more. Designing it in at the same time costs less than retrofitting it after the mould appears.

  4. Then generate

With demand down, a solar array covers more of what is left and a battery covers more of the evening.

Work we have finished

Lofts, cavities and the tests that follow.

Most of this is zero-rated, and some of it is free.

Insulation carries 0% VAT until 31 March 2027, so the figure on the quotation is the figure you pay. On top of that, insulation is what funded schemes are built around — Warm Homes: Local Grant, and ECO4 until it closes on 31 December 2026.

Eligibility depends on the household and the property rather than on us, and we check it before you commit to anything rather than after.

Scheme rules and closing dates change. We confirm what applies to you at the survey.

How a fabric job runs

Day one

One conversation

What the house is, what it costs to heat, and what is already been done to it.

The survey

One visit

Loft, walls and ventilation assessed together, because they affect each other.

Before we book

One proposal

Every measure priced, with the zero VAT rate and any funding already applied.

The programme

One contractor

Our own installers. Where measures combine, they are done on the same visit.

On completion

One handover

Certificates, guarantees and the paperwork an EPC assessor or a scheme will ask for.

After the work is signed off

Insulation has nothing to service, but it has to be evidenced.

Your paperwork, on the day

Installation certificates, and on a PAS 2035 job the assessment and design records the scheme requires.

A two year guarantee

On every measure, in writing, transferable if you sell, and insurance-backed.

It moves your EPC

Loft depth and wall construction are two of the heaviest weighted things an assessor records.

One number, and the same team

Every measure here was fitted by us, so there is one number for all of it.

The questions we get asked most

Which should I do first?

The loft, almost always. It is the cheapest, the quickest and it makes every measure after it smaller.

How do I know if I have cavity walls?

Age and brick pattern give you a good idea, and there is a checker on the cavity wall page. A borescope at the survey settles it.

Is insulation really zero-rated?

Yes, until 31 March 2027, on insulation installed in residential property.

Could a scheme pay for insulation?

Insulation is what funded schemes are built around. Eligibility depends on the household and the property, and we check it before you commit.

Will insulating cause damp?

Not when ventilation is designed in at the same time. Damp problems after insulation are almost always a ventilation problem that was not addressed.

Do I need insulation before a heat pump?

Not for the grant. The Boiler Upgrade Scheme dropped its loft and cavity insulation condition in 2024. It still helps: a warmer house needs a smaller unit, which costs less to buy and less to run.
